What Are GreencorePCR™ Recycling Services?

We provide recycling of LLDPE and LDPE films into resin pellets either within a Closed Loop System or by collection of scrap and post consumer materials.

What types of materials are accepted?

LDPE, LLDPE, stretch films with or without contaminates. Contaminates can be paper, soft metals, banding, PET pop bottles, etc.

How are the materials collected?

Materials are collected at the source that generates the scrap; office buildings, industrial plants, warehouses, distribution centers or material recovery facilities. To keep the cost low, collecting at the source of the scrap is best. There are higher cost alternatives with material brokers.

How are the materials transported to the recycling facility?

Materials are shipped by the truck load or intermodal service. Smaller amounts can be sent to collection sites, however, to minimize cost 40,000 pound truckloads are best. With qualified volumes, we will assist with shipping by placing trailers at your facility and/or providing pick up.

What types of products are produced?

Greencore™ PCR resin is produced and sold at our Hartford City plant. Greencore™ PCR resin can be used in film and rigid plastic applications. How can I be guaranteed of the quality of the pellets/products?

We provide chain of custody documentation along with reliable and professional certification of PCR materials. Our quality assurance provides melt index and FTIR scans, and we run every lot through our lab line to replicate the blown film process. We also perform hourly quality inspection of pellets under a microscope.

What are my costs to start a recycling program?

Your costs include the installation of a collection and baling system. To help make your recycling program more efficient and productive, with qualified volumes we'll place baler/compaction equipment on your site at no up-front cost. Your baler is paid for with credits from the recyclable material you send us.

What are the benefits?
